The following duties are representative of performance expectations for our independent studies facilitators.
- Determine seat assignments for scholars in the classroom
- Take attendance daily
- Enforce classroom rules and regulations per the OI Handbook
- Maintains high classroom standards and conduct for all scholars
- Enforces scholar dress code
- Reports any conduct concerns to HS Dean and Principals
- Promotes the proper use and care of school property and appropriate use of technology
- Authenticate student request to go to teachers prep periods for individual help when appropriate
- Communicates with teachers and scholars information on struggling scholars to help facilitate work completion.
- Keeps track of the location of each scholar assigned to their IS class each period.
- Maintains a positive learning environment. Helps students with questions.
- Maintains confidentiality of privileged information.
- Takes precautions to ensure scholar safety and does not leave scholars unsupervised.
